Krack-a-boom!!! BPAC 2023 Thunder & Lightning is fast approaching. For the third year running, BrewDog Brewery & Taproom at Murarrie will be hosting Australia’s highest-attended competitive pinball and classic arcade events as part of the BPAC Showcase.

Over 70 pinball machines and 40+ Arcade games will populate the brewing floor, converting the space into a haven for gamers young and old! Over 500 individual competitors are expected over a two-week period of gaming that begins on the 14th of July. Along with the usual pinball and arcade events, BPAC 2023 will for the time include Nintendo 64 competitions, hosted by YouTube gaming superstar Karl Jobst.

Unlimited gaming on all 100+ pinball and arcade games is available during sessions happening from 4pm to 10pm on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the showcase. Sessions are just $10 per head and open to all persons. Competitions happening on all days of the showcase are open to all skill levels. Secure your spots for these sessions and competitions here. Tickets will also be available at the door, though competition ticketing is limited. Entry is free throughout the 10 days and no ticketing is required for anyone who just wants to witness the gaming spectacle of the BPAC showcase.

To commemorate the event, Brewdog will be releasing a limited-edition Italian-style pilsner. This exclusive beer has been canned with 4 different labels designed by local artist Nelson Gibbins, the official artist of BPAC 2023. This as well as more than 27 other beverages will be available on tap over the course of the event, alongside a mouth watering lineup of burgers, pizzas and BPAC food specials to grab in between gaming!

This event is run by the Brisbane Pinball and Arcade Collective (BPAC), a crew of passionate pinballers and gamers who want to bring the lights, sounds, and action of old-school pinballs and arcades to as many people as possible. The BPAC showcase would not be possible without the help of legendary local gaming monoliths 1UP Arcade and Netherworld as well as Hutchinson Builders, Pinball Movers, Noodleshirt, Game the System, and Sydney’s 1989 Arcade.

The Brisbane Pinball and Arcade Collective Showcase is a must for both budding and veteran gamers as well as anyone curious to discover more about this unique corner of the gaming universe. With an array of games ranging from the seventies through to today, BPAC showcases the best in pinball and retro gaming that this corner of the world has to offer.
